Vocal Social Brighton
Due to low numbers we have cancelled the session scheduled for Thursday 28th January – we’ll update you with further news soon!
Tuesday 6th October 2015 – Our third event will took place on Tuesday 6th October 2015, at the Pub/Hotel du Vin. Alongside our socialising and networking we had another excellent speaker.
Julie Watson joined us from Charity Little Green Pig. She explained their approach to mentoring and supporting young people through engagement with writing, stories and film, and how we could all help.
1st July 2015 – Our second Vocal Social was held again (by popular demand) at the Hotel du Vin; their air conditioned room providing a welcome relief from the scorching weather outside. Our speaker for this month was Helen Morris Brown who provided us with insights on communication cock-ups!
In a fun and engaging session, psychologist Helen presented an alternative approach to understanding how to communicate effectively. Illustrating her insights with psychology, anecdote and illusion (yes, she does magic tricks! – she ate a lit candle and magically completed a Rubik’s Cube by throwing it into the air) she demonstrated how to avoid making assumptions and why matching expectations is vital for your health and emotional well-being.
Our members continued chatting until 930pm during which connections were made, and people connected in true Vocal Social style.
5th May 2015 – Our very first Vocal Social in the Hotel Du Vin’s stunning Dome Room was a massive success, with nearly 50 Vocal Socialers joining us for bubbles and chat. The team from the I360 presented progress on their stunning new feature, and answered questions from our attendees on travel, transport and the positive impacts. Afterwards further conversations as our members continued to Meet. Chat and Connect.
The event closed just after 9pm and conversations continued in the Hotel Du Vin bar.
Look out for special offers for our Founder members, and thanks for attending. We look forward to seeing you at the next event
